Various peripheral-physiological, cardiovascular and hemodynamic variables can be recorded in the laboratory. It is equipped with two high-resolution cameras (Panasonic VC HD37 BS) and a sound system, a control computer (software: PsychoPy, E-Prime) and a recording computer. All common paradigms can be programmed and a wide variety of stimuli can be presented.
It is currently possible to derive and analyze the following variables:
- Skin conductivity (phasic and tonic); Becker module via Biopac amplifier
- Respiratory activity (Biopac)
- ECG; heart rate, heart rate variability (Biopac and AccuSync 72 with ECG trigger)
- Oscillographic blood pressure (systolic, diastolic) (DINAMP Compact T Monitor)
- Continuous blood pressure (systolic, diastolic); derivation via Finometer pro
- Cardiac output
- Peripheral vascular resistance
We use AcqKnowledge 4.3 and BeatScope Easy (v2.10) as recording software.
The laboratory has a modular design (Biopac MP150) and can be supplemented with additional variables (e.g. EEG, EMG etc.) if required.
